Visitor Experience: Visitors can expect to see a great deal of information regarding Western New York’s connections to the United States Presidency. Buffalo is the only city in the United States where two presidents got their start, where one president was assassinated, and another was inaugurated. Come and view artifacts in our permanent collection related to the stories of these important men, the First Ladies, and learn more about the two women who ran for our nation’s highest office.

Building Description: Because the Center is enclosed within the Central branch of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, we cannot list any notable architectural highlights. The Buffalo Presidential Center is significantly socially and culturally to Buffalo; however, as it tells the often-untold stories of prominent Western New Yorkers whose diverse roles in national government have shaped the presidency, national, domestic, and foreign policy.
