Building Description: The building used to be called the CW. Miller Livery Stable, which was named after a prominent businessman who made his fortune in the urban horse transportation business. It was a 6-story building used to house horses, carts, carriages, and sleighs. One of the unique architectural features of the building can be seen in the library. Architects built this 6-story building by using a truss style framework, which was used instead of the traditional beam of column framework. The trusses are arranged in triangles and essentially support the entire building. The stairwells also assist in giving support.
