Aurora Historical Society Elbert Hubbard Roycroft Museum
363 Oakwood Ave., East Aurora, NY 14052

The museum contains one of the rarest collections of Roycroft artifacts: beautifully bound and illuminated books, furniture and copper work, as well as oil paintings by Alex Fournier and leather work by George Scheide Mantel.

Aurora Historical Society Millard Fillmore Presidential Site

Millard Fillmore, who served as the 13th president of the United States from 1850 and 1853, began his law and political career in East Aurora.  Fillmore built the house in 1826 for his bride Abigail. It is the only remaining house of the 13th President.

Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens

Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University

With learning and public access at the heart of its mission, the Castellani Art Museum (CAM) is the major resource for the visual arts in Niagara County, with a permanent collection of over 5,000 pieces of modern and contemporary art, Niagara Falls art, and regional Folk Arts. 

Hull Family Home & Farmstead

The Hull House, built circa 1810 by Revolutionary War veteran Warren Hull, has been restored to its original beauty. The Farmstead currently features a bountiful (medicinal) kitchen garden and a family cemetery, which has been restored by the Polly Gillette Hull chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The Iron Island Museum, in a former church/funeral home (1883), honors the history (including many spirits)  of the Lovejoy Iron Island neighborhood.  There are four rooms of artifacts: sections honoring veterans, the railroad, and a wooden alter from a 1896 neighborhood church, as well as a room dedicated to the Central Terminal.

Niagara Aerospace Museum

The Niagara Aerospace Museum tells the story of Western New York’s rich aviation and aerospace history through artifacts, displays and full-size planes
1:00 pm lecture by
Dr. Daniel Haulman.  Dr. Haulman is an historian who has written two books on the Tuskeegee Airmen, a highly decorated group of African American fighter pilots in WW II. There is no charge for this event which will start at 1:00 PM and last approximately one hour.

Visit the National Historic Landmark Roycroft Campus to explore the rich history of Elbert Hubbard and the Roycrofters’ center of the early 1900s Arts & Crafts Movement. Steel Plant Museum of WNY

The Steel Plant Museum of WNY features a new exhibit, artifacts, and videos of the former industry’s role in WNY history. Gift shop accepts cash or check only.

Theodore Roosevelt National Historic Site

A guided tour will take visitors back to 1901 to witness the inauguration of Theodore Roosevelt as the nation’s 26th president. Tour includes restored rooms, film and exhibits.  Advance registration required at www.trsite.org Face masks are optional.
